Fighting Hunger
My obsessive side has started again. And no, not my porn obsession (sickos!) Those of you who know me well know that I think hunger in this country is (or at least should be) a national shame. To that end, Last holiday season, we collected over 400 lbs of food for the local food bank and almost $300 in cash donations. That is great, but we can, and have to, do more.
That being said, I have created a webpage for continuing to help to fight hunger in Maryland and America. It is here. You can help by making a donation to this cause. I have set up a Paypal donations site to accept payments. I am suggesting a donation of $25 dollars but please give whatever you feel can. All donations will go to the Maryland Food Bank. Remember, every $1 donation buys 7 meals. That means your $25 donation will provide 175 meals for those who need it. Thank you so much.
What’s a shame is spending as much as we are over in Iraq when we still have hunger here and no national healthcare!
Not to say the cause isn’t worthy, though.
I only have so much rage to direct. If I start thinking about everything I could find wrong in the world, I would never have time to get started fixing them.
